I genuinely don't know where to begin. Eighteen days ago, I finally took the plunge and joined TikTok after years of avoiding social media. I had no idea what to expect, no strategy, no plan—just a camera, my horse DJ, and a willingness to share our journey. What has happened since has been nothing short of incredible.
The Numbers
In just 18 days:
- 5,000+ followers
- 250,000+ views
- 23,000+ likes
I keep refreshing the app thinking there must be some mistake. These numbers are beyond anything I could have imagined when I posted that first nervous video.
More Than Numbers
But honestly, it's not really about the numbers at all. What has truly overwhelmed me is the community. The messages from fellow equestrians, the comments of encouragement, the people sharing their own stories and journeys—that's what has made this experience so special.
I've connected with riders from all over the world. People who understand the early mornings, the dedication, the bond we share with our horses. People who get it. Finding this community has been the real gift.
Why I Started
I started this account because I want to become a professional show jumper. I wanted to document the journey, share the highs and lows, and maybe—just maybe—attract some sponsors along the way to help fund competitions like the Andalucia Sunshine Tour next year.
But what I've gained already is so much more than I expected. The support, the encouragement, the sense of community—it's given me even more motivation to pursue my goals.
What's Next
This is just the beginning. I'll keep sharing our training sessions, competition prep, behind-the-scenes moments with DJ, and all the ups and downs that come with chasing a dream in the equestrian world.
We've got the Suffolk Equestrian Christmas Show coming up this month, then Spain in March. There's so much to look forward to, and I'm so grateful to have you all along for the ride.
Thank You
To every single person who has followed, liked, commented, or shared—thank you from the bottom of my heart. You've made a girl from a small village in Suffolk feel like anything is possible.
Let's keep going. One jump at a time.
